Reward-to-risk ratio

Also known as Risk-reward ratio · R:R

The ratio of expected profit to the amount risked on a trade, stated before entry. A 2:1 ratio means the target is twice the distance of the stop, which is the minimum on the LMRSS checklist example, and the OHC trade memo makes R:R a required field. A high win rate with poor reward-to-risk is not a system.
