Derivatives & Options Beginner

Expiration date

Also known as Expiry

The last day an option can be exercised, after which it ceases to exist. Choosing an expiry matches the structure to the thesis: too short and time decay kills a correct view, too long and you overpay for time you do not need. OHC teaches at least 45 days of time value for long options and under 30 days for short ones.
